Vegan Festival

The Vegan Society of Iceland is delighted to announce that the Vegan Festival is returning with great fanfare! This marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, and all previous events have exceeded our wildest expectations.

In recent years, attendance has hovered around 1,000 people, according to informal estimates by the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður. Food items have usually sold out completely, even though vendors prepare significantly more than they anticipate selling. We therefore encourage everyone to arrive early.

🌟 The festivities kick off at 12:00 PM on a sunny Sunday (we have submitted a strongly worded request for good weather) and will run until 4:00 PM - or even 5:00 PM if the weather holds up!

🍕 A wide variety of food will be available for purchase: ice cream, Colombian cuisine, Transylvanian cakes, Hungarian flatbreads, Vietnamese dishes, pastries, cakes, and coffee drinks. It’s not just about food; other vegan products will be available too, so there is plenty to explore and discover.

🏰 For the younger crowd, there will be bouncy castles, a sensory experience, and face painting.

🎶 Ragga Gröndal will perform! It has become something of a tradition to have her satin-smooth voice warm the hearts of our guests. Later, Gunnar Hilmarsson and Jóhann Guðmundsson will create a cozy atmosphere with velvety, jazzy tunes.
