A Family Workshop at the Natural History Museum of Kópavogur
What is hidden in the clay? What stories might it tell us if we listen closely?
In this family workshop, we will get to know clay as part of the earth and explore what kinds of creatures, bodies, and stories begin to emerge as we spend time with it. We will set out on an expedition through the Natural History Museum, looking at the diversity of animals, forms, and habitats, while considering humans as one animal species among many.
Together, we will create new, imaginary creatures from clay and build worlds around them.
Where do these creatures come from? Where do they want to live? How do they move, and what stories do they have to tell?
The workshop is a space for children and adults to explore, touch, imagine, and create together.
