In this fun Halloween workshop, Mada will guide the children as they create their very own tunnel illustrations.
A tunnel illustration is like looking through a tiny window into another world. Different parts of the picture are drawn on separate pieces of paper and placed one behind another. The spaces between the layers create depth, making the scene look almost like a stage set or a picture from a storybook! The first layer might show trees, the second animals, the third mountains, and the last layer the sky.
Children participate in the workshop independently, without a parent present. This often helps them immerse themselves more fully in the activities, build confidence and enjoy a creative experience with their peers. Meanwhile, coffee will be available for adults, along with plenty of interesting reading material to browse at the library.
Mada is a Portuguese illustrator, comic book artist, and the founder of a youth art studio where children come together after school to create, play, and explore their imaginations.
She is obsessed about journaling, loves reading comics, and has a surprisingly successful hobby: growing avocado pits into little trees
The workshop is free but there is limited space available. You can sign up here on the website, above.
We look forward to see you there!
