King Fuzi + Meltway | URBAN Sessions

King Fuzi are four friends who have spent the past few years hiding out in a bunker in Amager. Now, the band is finally ready to emerge into the light of day. With their eyes glued to their pedals, one ear tuned to Brixton and the other to post-punk, post-rock, post-whatever, they have carved out their own place within the alternative rock genre. Expect odd time signatures, amps pushed to the limit, shifting tempos and lyrics that turn both inward and outward, drawing on the endless references of popular culture.

Meltway plays rock music rooted in shoegaze, dream pop, punk, and progressive rock. Following an extensive run of concerts across Denmark, Germany, and Poland, the band's live performances have evolved from introspective pedal-gazing into explosive, high-energy shows. While the music remains grounded in an indie rock sensibility, it is now counterbalanced by a raw, gritty intensity. Meltway plays dreampunk. The songs explore themes of identity, self-image, and the feeling of being caught between who you are and who you believe you ought to be.
