Jakob Planch creates epic and contrasting sonic universes through music that is at once intense, complex, beautiful, and deeply emotional. Blending EDM, IDM, and Drum & Bass, he pushes the boundaries of what electronic music can sound like. Joining him on stage is guitarist Julius Stenberdt, and together they perform the music live using guitar strings, piano keys, effect pedals, faders, and knobs.

Although ZIMA have only released one official single, the band have already made their mark on the Danish live scene. With sold-out shows at venues such as Lille VEGA, as well as performances at Distortion and Roskilde's annual city park concerts, they have built a reputation as a powerful live act whose full expression truly comes alive in the connection with the audience. ZIMA inhabit a rock universe that draws as much from hip-hop's attitude as it does from hyperpop's electronic edge. All members of the band attend Denmark's leading songwriting school, Danish Songwriting Academy, where they are honing their craft. On stage, synthesizers and distorted guitars collide in an energetic soundscape where intensity takes over and the atmosphere becomes both intimate and unpredictable. "ZIMA meant business.
